Who can Apply?

American Express clearly lays out its pre-set conditions, though some questions may arise. 

First, you must be at least 18 years old and a duly registered US citizen. For foreign citizens, you’ll need to present a passport with a valid work visa. 

The applicant will also need to present an excellent FICO score along with verifiable income. 

Your credit limit will be determined by your credit history and income capacity, involving a comprehensive analysis of the applicant’s profile.

During the process, you’ll need to submit documents such as an ID copy and proof of income. 

It’s important to note that every application is subject to American Express’s availability. 

How do I Apply for the American Express Gold Card?

You don’t have to apply directly, as American Express offers the possibility of registering for pre-approval. To start the application, you should click on ‘Apply Now’ to access the application form. 

The first information you need to submit is the selection of the card design, as you can choose from 3 different card options:

• Gold
• Rose Gold
• White Gold

You’ll continue filling out the form with information such as:

• First name, middle initial, and last name
• Name you want on the card
• Date of birth, email address, phone number, and full residential address with ZIP code, city, and state
• Social security number
• Total annual income and income source (employed, retired, self-employed, unemployed, and military)
